The Jolie-Pitt overlords? Despite the continual display of mutual goodwill that characterized most of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's stay in Namibia, there are apparently some who think that the couple's coziness with the national government -- which barred some reporters and paparazzi from entering the country -- smacks of something nasty. Namibia's National Society for Human Rights says the couple "used heavy-handed and brutal tactics" to persuade the government to come down hard on paparazzi, and it apparently called them "colonial overlords." Defamer has a link to the NSHR press release, but notes there's actually "no mention of the overlord stuff." (Defamer)
Jay-Z turns against Cristal: After Federic Rouzard, the head of Louis Roederer Cristal, told the Economist last week that his company isn't sure what to do about hip-hop's general embrace of his company's Champagne -- "We can't forbid people from buying it. I'm sure Dom Perignon or Krug would be delighted to have their business," he told the magazine -- Jay-Z has started a one-man campaign against the bubbly. He's no longer serving it at the clubs he owns in New York and Atlantic City, and he is cutting out the references to it in a number of the songs he'll perform at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, according to his rep: "You can bet that Cristal will not be in Jay's lyrics on Sunday. What will replace it, only he knows at the time, because he rhymes on the fly -- so don't be surprised to hear something different." (Page Six)
Diddy gets in on the Hilton vs. Lohan fight: During another Paris Hilton/Lindsay Lohan flare-up during a private performance by Prince at a Manhattan nightclub on Friday, Lohan followed Hilton to the bathroom, where a witness says they had "a huge fight." But while their beef is now old news, this fight ended with a new twist -- when Lohan returned to her table at the crowded club, she found that Diddy and his posse had taken it over. Sources say things then got nasty between the two; Rush & Molloy write, "one of Puffy's bodyguards lifted up Lindsay, and the rapper himself got into a scuffle with a Lohan pal who defended her." Bouncers then escorted Lohan out of the club, while she demanded that Diddy be ejected, too. (Rush & Molloy)
