"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert weighed in on the goings-on in Trumplandia following the West Virginia primaries that saw Bernie Sanders cruise to victory despite the long road ahead of him.
"Bernie just got a powerful reminder that he's a serious contender in this race," Colbert said, "because Donald Trump gave him a nickname."
During a "Fox and Friends" call-in interview, Trump debuted the nickname, "Crazy Bernie," explaining, "because he's not very good."
"When it comes to knowing the meaning of the word 'crazy,' Donald Trump is not very good," Colbert said.
"I just hope that Bernie Sanders does not take this nickname lightly," he continued. "'Cause these nicknames have destroyed all of Trump's opponents. 'Low Energy Jeb' -- gone. 'Little Marco' -- vaya con dios. 'Lyin' Ted' -- see you, wouldn't wanna be you."
